Aligning Assessment with Learning Objectives

Description:

When choosing assessment strategies it is important to consider how they align with learning objectives. Alignment helps to ensure assessments are valid and fair. In this workshop we will analyse learning objectives and discuss appropriate assessment formats. A list of tools and templates will be provided for attendees to apply to their own context.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to

  • recognize the importance of aligning course assessments with learning objectives,
  • select tools and strategies to ensure assessments align with learning objectives, and
  • develop an assessment plan.

Facilitator:

Ryan Day
