Surveys and questionnaires are an accessible tool for health professions education research and evaluation. However, designing effective surveys can be challenging. In this workshop, we will discuss key principles for designing and conducting effective surveys and questionnaires.
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to
- describe key principles for designing a survey,
- design a survey instrument tailored to program- or project-specific goals, and
- develop a plan for establishing reliability and validity of the survey instrument.

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been approved by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for up to 1.5 Mainpro+ credits.
