Debriefing is considered the cornerstone of simulation-based learning and is often the area of simulation that can “make or break” the simulation experience.  While there are several debriefing methods current in use, they generally follow similar phases.  This session will highlight the phases of debriefing in simulation-based learning and discuss the common debriefing methods used in simulation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the role of debriefing in simulation-based learning
  • Summarize the three phases of debriefing in simulation
  • Identify common methods to debrief simulation-based learning activities

Facilitator:
