Writing Narrative Feedback – April 17, 2019
Description:
Target audience: Teachers working in clinical settings who are called upon to provide written feedback for their learners on their clinical performance.
Rationale: Emphasis on formative feedback and documentation of assessment requires teachers to provide frequent written feedback for their learners. This session is designed to help make this task easier.
Learning Objectives:
After this session the participant will be able to
- describe the evidence for the effectiveness of feedback in health professions education,
- list the features of effective feedback, and
- provide appropriate written feedback for some common learner situations.
