Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP – October 5, 2026
“NRP is an educational program designed to teach individuals and teams who may be required to resuscitate newborn babies. Completion of an NRP course does not mean that an individual is competent to perform the skills of neonatal resuscitation.”
This is an ADVANCED course! The workshop consists of integrated skills station and team-based scenarios. Upon successful completion, a Completion Card will be presented from the CPS. This card does not imply clinical competence in this area, but indicates participation and completion of the course.
Pre-course Preparation
- Read the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 9th edition. Each participant must own their own book. CPS Bookstore – https://members.cps.ca/product-category/nrp/

- Successful completion of the NRP Online Learning Assessment (OLA), prior to the didactic portion.
Certificate of lesson completion: This will become available online upon completion of the Online Learning Assessment and confirms your ability to participate in the workshop. Learners must provide the certificate, seven days before the session date. Failure to provide this document denies access to the workshop without refund. Cancellation/Date Changes and Refund Policy: The CCA – University of Manitoba has the right to cancel or reschedule course dates due to circumstances beyond our control. Cancellation by students may occur up to 21 days before day one of the course with a $200 penalty. Cancellation after 21 days or no shows are not refundable. Cancellations and date changes due to illness or medical emergency will be considered on case-to-case basis.
