There are many occasions when physicians or physicians assistants would like to provide local anesthetic for patients who experience trauma or infection, yet often, practitioners are not confident on how to perform the procedure. This course will prepare physicians and physicians assistants to become competent in the administration of mandibular blocks, supraorbital blocks, and infiltration local anesthesia in the oral cavity. After lecture, participants will receive over-the-shoulder coaching as they administer local anesthesia on manikins and optionally, on each other. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be issued a certificate of completion.
