Objectives

  • Implement evidence-based strategies for post-travel health care. (scholar, medical expert, FM expert, professional)
  • Recognize and manage common tropical dermatologic conditions, with an emphasis on accurate diagnosis and treatment in returning travelers. (Leader, scholar)
  • Apply age-specific considerations in the care of pediatric travelers, including vaccination schedules, infection prevention, and travel safety. (advocate)
  • Identify travel-related health risks in immigrant and refugee populations, and provide culturally sensitive care that addresses pre-existing conditions, vaccine-preventable diseases, and social determinants of health (collaborator, communicator)
  • Develop effective communication strategies to educate travelers about travel-related health risks, preventive measures, and post-travel follow-up, ensuring clear understanding and adherence to recommendations.

Cancellation Policy
In accordance with CPD Medicine policy:

  • More than 21 days’ notice: A refund will be issued, minus a 20% administrative fee (up to a maximum of $200).
  • Less than 21 days’ notice: No refund will be provided.

Special refund requests may be submitted to the event coordinator for consideration by the Scientific Planning Committee Chair, CPD Director or the Managing Director.
