Fridays at the University Bannatyne Campus Program 2026 – 2027
About the Series
Fridays at the University is a highly regarded continuing professional development series consisting of eight (8) online sessions delivered throughout the academic year. Designed for urban and rural family physicians, Royal College fellows, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals, the series offers practical, evidence-informed lectures and interactive skills workshops focused on topics relevant to primary care practice.
Participants may register for the full annual series or choose to attend individual sessions.
Please note: Individual session registrations are not included in the annual registration fee and must be purchased separately if not registered for the full series.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the Fridays at the University series, participants will be able to:
- Apply culturally competent, equitable care in managing ADHD and mental health conditions, including effective post-hospitalization transition.
- Apply equity-informed approaches to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of common reproductive health conditions.
- Apply evidence-based musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation strategies in elderly patients.
- Implement Travel Health Principles to ensure safe, coordinated, continuity of care for patients across different health care settings.
- Implement equitable approaches to improve respiratory outcomes across diverse populations.
- Apply evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of neurological and cognitive disorders to optimize patient outcomes.
- Identify and differentiate common dermatological conditions across diverse populations.
- Apply evidence-based strategies to assess and manage cardio-metabolic health across hospital and clinic settings.

All sessions will be delivered virtually via livestream.

Registration Fees
Annual Registration
- Physicians: $895
- Nurse Practitioners and Other Health Professionals: $375
To register, add the appropriate ticket(s) below and complete the registration process. A confirmation email will be sent upon successful registration.
Registration includes access to session recordings and supporting resources. Recordings will be available through your CPD account approximately 7–14 days following each session and will remain accessible until August 31, 2027.
Cancellation Policy
In accordance with CPD Medicine policy:
- More than 21 days’ notice: A refund will be issued, minus a 20% administrative fee (up to a maximum of $200).
- Less than 21 days’ notice: No refund will be provided.
Special refund requests may be submitted to the event coordinator for consideration by the Scientific Planning Committee Chair, CPD Director or the Managing Director.
