Description:

The Doctor Is In Clinic is a hands-on clinical learning activity in which Canadian physicians and nurse practitioners assess real patients with suspected lipedema under the direct supervision of international specialist faculty.

This is a rare opportunity to develop practical clinical skills in lipedema assessment, differential diagnosis, and patient communication in a supported, evidence-based learning environment. Learners work alongside experienced international diagnosticians using a standardized clinical assessment protocol adapted from the S2k Guideline for Lipedema, the 2026 International Delphi Consensus, and the U.S. Standard of Care.

Each learner is assigned to one cohort (morning or afternoon) and participates in multiple patient encounters throughout their session. All encounters use a paired independent assessment model: the learner and the specialist each assess the patient independently before comparing findings and arriving at a joint determination.

Spaces are limited. This activity is offered at no additional cost to registered conference attendees who meet the eligibility requirements below.
