Objectives
- Demonstrate the ability to appropriately recognize and manage common arrhythmias. (medical expert, FM expert, professional)
- Describe which office presentations in primary care should lead to cardiac investigations and/or interventions (scholar, leader)
- Recognize and manage cardiovascular complications in pregnancy, including risk stratification and interdisciplinary care planning for optimal maternal and fetal outcomes.(advocate, communicator)
- List recent advances in heart failure and hypertension approaches to meet the needs of diverse and special populations. (collaborator, scholar)
- List key considerations when interpreting cardiovascular diagnostic tests (e.g., ECG, echocardiogram, stress testing, cardiac biomarkers) and integrate findings into clinical decision-making. (medical expert, FM expert)

This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been approved by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for up to 4.5 Mainpro+ credits.

Cancellation Policy
In accordance with CPD Medicine policy:
- More than 21 days’ notice: A refund will be issued, minus a 20% administrative fee (up to a maximum of $200).
- Less than 21 days’ notice: No refund will be provided.
Special refund requests may be submitted to the event coordinator for consideration by the Scientific Planning Committee Chair, CPD Director or the Managing Director.
