Course Overview

Are you an acute care practitioner looking to enhance your diagnostic skills? This one- day, intensive Foundational Focused Echo Course is designed specifically for you!

Gain the essential knowledge and practical skills in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to confidently integrate focused echocardiography into your acute care practice. This course will cover the fundamental principles and key applications of focused echo, empowering you to make rapid, informed decisions at the bedside.

 

Who should attend?

This course is ideal for any healthcare professional practicing acute care/intensive care or emergency medicine, including physicians, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

 

What you’ll gain

  • A solid understanding of basic ultrasound physics and image optimization.
  • The ability to perform and interpret focused cardiac views.
  • Skills to assess cardiac function, volume status, and identify common acute emergent pathologies.
  • Increased confidence in using POCUS to guide patient management.

Cancellation Policy
In accordance with CPD Medicine policy:

  • More than 21 days’ notice: A refund will be issued, minus a 20% administrative fee (up to a maximum of $200).
  • Less than 21 days’ notice: No refund will be provided.

Special refund requests may be submitted to the event coordinator for consideration by the Scientific Planning Committee Chair, CPD Director or the Managing Director.
