Description

This popular simulation-based workshop will focus on intra-articular and soft tissue injection techniques.

Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the indications, contraindications, and complications of joint injections with their patient.(Medical Expert, Communicator)
  • Evaluate best medical evidence to identify which medications to use for intra-articular joint injections.( Scholar, Medical Expert)
  • Perform an examination of a knee and shoulder joint to assess joint markers for safe injection.( Medical Expert, Health Advocate)
  • Demonstrate an intra-articular injection of the knee and shoulder joint on a simulation model.( Medical Expert, Professional)

 

Registrants must complete the following required documentation

  • Needs Assessment
  • Session Evaluation
  • Mainpro+ Post-reflective Activity

These documents will be sent to registrants via email or handed out during the event.

 

Registration

Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Other Health Professions: $200.00

Cancellation Policy
In accordance with CPD Medicine policy:

  • More than 14 days’ notice: A refund will be issued, minus a 20% administrative fee (up to a maximum of $200).
  • Less than 14 days’ notice: No refund will be provided.

Special refund requests may be submitted to the event coordinator for consideration by the Scientific Planning Committee Chair or the Program Director.

 

Only paid registrants can receive credits and access speakers’ presentations post-event (Presentations provided at the discretion of the instructor).
