Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to apply principles of routine practices in everyday clinical practice.
Routine Practices are a set of infection prevention and control practices that healthcare workers use to reduce the transmission of microorganisms (germs) in healthcare settings. Routine Practices protect both healthcare workers and patients/clients/residents from contact with infectious agents. Routine Practices should be used by ALL healthcare workers caring for ALL patients, regardless of whether the patient is known to have a communicable infection.
