Description:

Health professions education is awash with calls for curricular reform, whether it is a new competency framework, new ways of teaching, or new assessment methods.  However, doing so requires a solid foundation in the learning theories – how students learn, and how teachers can enable student learning.  In this session, we will discuss theories of learning relevant to teaching health professions students and use case studies to show how these could be applied to the ‘real world’.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, the participant will be able to

  • identify learning theories relevant to health professions education and
  • apply them in a teaching and learning context.

Log in information will be sent to webinar registrants prior to the event.
